Biography
Jennifer brings over twenty years of oil & gas operational experience to OneNexus, LLC. Jennifer began her career at ExxonMobil as a facilities engineer, focusing on wellhead and field compression design and optimization. Following ExxonMobil, Jennifer worked for a series of smaller onshore oil and gas operators including Burlington Resources (later ConocoPhillips), where she led field operations for a cross-functional team of engineers and geologists who were instrumental in discovering and developing the volatile oil play in the South Texas Eagle Ford Shale. Jennifer later joined Sanchez Energy Corporation, where she managed the design and construction of pipelines and facilities for Sanchez’s initial Eagle Ford development program. While at Sanchez, she also managed a production engineering team responsible for well maintenance, workovers and well plugging. Following Sanchez, Jennifer worked as a consultant for Breitburn Energy, focused on plugging wells in and around Los Angeles, California.
Jennifer joined the founding team at OneNexus in 2021 with the hope of using her experience to influence a positive change in the industry’s approach to well abandonment. Through the efforts of OneNexus, Jennifer envisions a future where operators are better positioned to fund the plugging and abandonment of wells, thus preventing future orphan wells.
Jennifer earned an BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. She is an active member of Girl Scouts of America, volunteering as both a troop leader and community leader. She also serves on the Board of Directors for a non-profit Houston daycare where she has held executive committee roles since 2020, including two terms as President. Since 2022 Jennifer has served as Treasurer for her neighborhood civic club, and from 2002 through 2017 Jennifer volunteered with FIRST Robotics, serving on the Board of the Directors and as the lead judge for the FIRST Lone Star Regional high school robotics competition for nearly 10 years.
